MUSKEGON, Mich. – SAF-Holland announced today that the Bendix ADB22X air disc brake was selected as an upcoming available option on the Neway LSZ steerable lift axle suspension system.

According to SAF-Holland, the disc brake was selected because of its unique two-pin floating caliper design results in fewer components, requiring less maintenance. The company claims that changing the air disc brake pads on the ADB22X model takes less time than it does to change drum linings, which reduces downtime and money.

“The addition of the Bendix disc brake further enhances the benefits of the 13.5k capacity Neway LSZ for a variety of applications,” SAF-Holland said in a release. “The LSZ uses only 17.39 inches of frame rail space ahead of the centre of the tire which provides extra room for bigger fuel tanks, mounting batteries on the rails and other components required to comply with regulations/bridge laws and a short wheelbase.”
