Safety upgrades for Autocar ACX cabover

by Today's Trucking

Autocar is enhancing its ACX severe-duty cabover vehicles with six new safety features.

The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system intervenes when the vehicle is understeering or oversteering, while the Rollovers Stability Control (RSC) intervenes when there’s the risk of a driver-induced rollover event.

The advanced emergency braking system will detect impending collisions and engage emergency brakes, while the forward collision warning system will offer visible and audible warnings of approaching threats.

Steady lights on the A-pillar can be triggered by the stationary lane departure warnings, while a flashing light will warn about vehicles in blind spots.
