Steer Tire

Yokohama Tire
Yokohama’s RY637 MSC is a new-from-the-ground-up steer tire that addresses the common problem of irregular wear in long-haul service. It’s said to decrease maintenance costs while extending original tread life (“MSC” stands for Maintenance Saving Concept). While the tire’s design is new, so are the construction and production technologies used to create it. Irregular wear is minimized by controlling the pressure on the tread as the tire rolls, using patent-pending “Stress Wear Control” grooves, ribs, and sipes. An ultra-wide top steel belt provides uniform stiffness across the tread face. It extends right to the shoulders of the tire to add uniform stiffness to the tread face across its whole width. The tire comes with a generous six-year warranty through three retreads plus an increased casing allowance.
