Thermo King making telematics standard

by Today's Trucking

Thermo King is making its TracKing telematics offering standard on new APUs and trailer and large truck refrigeration units beginning in January 2024.

Both the hardware and two-year subscription service will be standard on new equipment.

“Thermo King innovation is driven to help our customers deliver freshness, keep loads safe and optimize fleet performance. Providing data with actionable insights for fleet operators is a vital component to moving the industry forward and enhancing the customer experience,” said Chris Tanaka, vice-president of product management for Thermo King Americas. “To make this easier for customers, we are putting the data they need at their fingertips – automatically – with qualifying new unit purchases.”

Benefits of TracKing include: real-time asset connectivity; service reminders and alerts; temperature monitoring for compliance and security, including door opening alerts; cargo traceability; access to dashboards for smarter decision making; and data sharing capabilities.
