TRANSMISSION WARRANTY

Roadranger Marketing is now offering its automated transmission extender protection plan to owner-operators. As well as providing additional warranty after the original factory coverage runs out, the program includes access to component upgrades.

Initially established for fleets, the program allows all truck owners to buy an additional year of automated transmission protection within linehaul applications for a maximum of 7 years or 850,000 miles. Buyers can sign up after standard warranty expiration, with no late registration penalties. Coverage is transferrable to subsequent owners.

Eaton suggests that the warranty is a way to enhance a truck’s residual value, adding that it also suits operators holding on to their trucks longer than their normal trade-in cycle.

This program is available for linehaul applications only, with no minimum number of trucks to qualify. The coverage begins at the point of registration and is available at all original equipment (OE) truck dealers that sell and service linehaul trucks containing Eaton AutoShift and UltraShift transmissions. All requests for coverage must be approved and pass an Eaton-certified inspection process.
