Brake Pro’s new CCM2423 premium heavy-duty friction is designed for longer lining life, longer drum life, and very quiet braking, the maker says. Identified by a metallic light red edge color, the product was specifically developed for 23,000-lb GAWR vehicles operating in linehaul and vocational applications. The CCM formula combines three leading-edge formulation concepts into one brake lining: ‘Conformable’, the
compressibility of the brake lining, provides greater surface contact; ‘Cohesive’, a transfer film technology, enhances the compatibility between lining and drum; and ‘Metallic’ refers to the unique metallic fibers added to provide thermal capacity and diffusing capability that allows the brake lining to run cooler. Users should enjoy longer maintenance intervals due to longer drum and lining life, Brake Pro says.
