Haldex Commercial Vehicle Systems now offers Gold Seal and Life Seal double-diaphragm spring brakes for vocational applications including refuse haulers, cement mixers and dump trucks.

The heavy duty service housing, dust boot and Neoprene service diaphragm are said to be well proven for tough truck applications. It’s made from 8-gauge steel that’s 10% thicker and stronger than standard housing, Haldex says. The black powder coating provides corrosion protection. The dust boot prevents the entry of damaging contaminants and also offers protection from water ingress for applications with upward pointing pushrods. The Neoprene service diaphragm offers resistance to chemicals, oil and garbage waste, and it’s nylon-fabric-reinforced for durability in harsh conditions.

Haldex offers a four-year/unlimited-mileage warranty on Life Seal and a one-year/100,000-mile warranty on Gold Seal.
