CALGARY, Alta. — The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) has made some more staffing changes, as veteran member Al Smythe has resigned his position as general manager.
Smythe is leaving the association to pursue another opportunity in the trucking industry, but he vows to continue as an active participant in association activities.
Troy Tait has been contracted by the AMTA to implement the advisory boards and committees of the Board of Directors.
Meanwhile, the search for a new executive director has wrapped up, with an announcement expected shortly. Former executive director, Lane Kranenburg, resigned from the association for health reasons.
