CALGARY, Alta. — The Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) will be placing expiration dates on all new instructor certificates as of Mar. 1.

The new policy is aimed at maintaining a higher training quality standard, and the AMTA claims it will ensure Alberta has the most effective training programs offered within the industry.

Under the new policy, certificates will expire three years after they are issued, and instructors will be required to take a half-day refresher course in order to keep their certification.

For more information, call the AMTA office at 403-243-4161.
