Annual convention to be just beachy

TRURO, N.S. — The Truckers’ Association of Nova Scotia (TANS) will hold its annual convention Apr. 19-20, at the Best Western Glengarry, with sun and warm breezes in mind.

When preparing a costume for the popular casino night, it is advised to keep the theme of ‘A day at the beach,’ in mind. Participants in costume will receive double money at the casino entrance.

Due to a lagging economy, a small user fee for some programs ‘may’ have to be implemented.

Committee members for the coming year are Colleen Theroux, Mike Harlow, Kim Gardener, Doug Banfield, Brian Cunningham, David Matheson, John Mackay, Dave Roberts, Crystal White and Carol Coulter.

Registration forms will be mailed out in early January. If you have comments or concerns contact Dave Roberts at 902-895-7447.
