TROY, Mich. (Dec. 2, 2003) — ArvinMeritor has announced that its Meritor Tire Inflation System by P.S.I. has received the 2003 Intermodal Achievement Award from the Intermodal Association of North America.

The Meritor Tire Inflation System automatically monitors and maintains proper tire inflation on commercial vehicle trailers. According to the company, benefits include: increased tire life, better fuel economy, less trailer downtime, increased safety, reduced trailer damage and more on-time deliveries. It is available with a complete range of axle, brake and wheel-end solutions.
