LAS VEGAS, Nev. — ArvinMeritor’s XpresswayPlus.com Web site has been selected as the winner of the Aftermakret Web site competition put on by the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association.

The Aftermarket Web Challenge was established to recognize and promote excellence in Web development and design in the aftermarket. The challenge was held in early October, at the council’s annual Fall Conference at St. Pete Beach, Fla. The council is composed of e-commerce and IT professionals who work for automotive aftermarket suppliers.

“We are honored to have been selected as the winner of this award among a group of our peers,” said Fran Oldfield, manager of e-commerce with ArvinMeritor. “Aftermarket suppliers have made tremendous advances in building online applications to service existing customers and attract new ones. This award is a reflection of the hard work our internal staff and contracted service providers have done to make XpresswayPlus.com a success.”

The site is an ordering system that makes it easy for warehouse distributors, OEM’s and dealers to order aftermarket repair parts both domestically and internationally. It also offers many other amenities including ArvinMeritor’s parts catalogue, in-depth technical information, enlarged views of products and assemblies for ArvinMeritor truck related parts and components, and real-time pricing and availability information.

The site can also check the status of existing orders and track unsubmitted orders for future retrieval. A direct link to all carriers for instant routing and tracking information and direct link printable voice are also offered. Anyone can access and view catalogs, but only authorized users can access the site’s other features.
