Union City, Ind. — Autocar LLC is driving the Xpeditor out the door and onto the road with the creation of its inceptive dealer network.

The company has signed agreements with Houston-based Lone Star Truck Center, the Oakland Truck Center, Chicago Truck Center, and General GMC & Volvo Trucks of Palm Beach, Fla., to market the Xpeditor, a Class 8 low-cab-over-engine truck used mainly for refuse hauling.

According to Bob Enright, president of Autocar, dealers in the Autocar network are selected based on their service, support and expertise in selling the Xpeditor truck.

“As a new company, Autocar is committed to carrying on the rich heritage of its name,” said Enright. “The Xpeditor is a rock-solid truck, and we’ve hand-picked dealers who are proven, industry professionals with excellent service reputations.”

Under the terms of the Autocar/Volvo agreement, the upstart truckmaker is permitted to tap into the Volvo dealer network for the first several years of operation.
