VANCOUVER, B.C. — Former president Bill Clinton is coming to Canada, to address a Vancouver company about global trade and commerce issues.

The Portables is said to be paying more than $100,000 for some words of wisdom from the 42nd U.S. president, and is selling tickets to the event for $999 to help recoup the cost.

“I think he has a lot to offer the business community here,” The Portables president Hanif Muliiani told local media. “He knows a lot about global trade, he knows a lot about economic revival. He did a great job in the U.S., spurring the economy over there. He’s more business than he is political.”

Clinton’s Nov. 9, speech will come one day after he addresses a crowd in Calgary, Alta.
