LANGLEY, B.C. — B.C. Trucking Association (BCTA) president has been invited to sit on a newly formed task force aimed at reducing red tape.

The Minister of State for Deregulation, Kevin Falcon, made the announcement yesterday while naming 13 members.

The team will be responsible for recommending priorities for the review and elimination of regulations by consulting the business community, according to the BCTA.

Falcon, who will also sit on the committee as chairman, will then compile the suggestions and refer them to the appropriate ministers.

The entire process is part of a three-year deregulation plan.
