Beware of cyclists in the east

DIEPPE, N.B. — Truckers and motorists rolling through Dieppe are urged to take caution this weekend as the Tim Horton’s Canadian Road Cycling Championships gear up.

Yesterday, four riders were injured when they were cut-off by cars. All four riders were taken to the hospital, although none of the injuries were describe as life threatening.

The southern-most lane of Champlain Street is reserved for the racers. Lafrance and Bras d’Or Streets along with Gauvin Road from house numbers 467 to 717 will be closed tomorrow and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Lafrance and Bras d’Or Street and Gauvin Road from house number 467 to 635 will be blocked and Champlain Street between house numbers 468 and 640 will also be blocked between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
