Bison Transport recognizes its safe drivers at annual awards dinner

by Truck News

WINNIPEG, Man. — Bison recently recognized its professional drivers and office staff for their contributions to the organization’s success in 2015 by hosting several annual awards dinners at all six of its terminals.

In total, the dinners recognized more than 780 drivers who completed a combined total of 243 million safe driving miles and 701 years of consecutive safe driving.

“Bison Transport is the best in the business because our organization has always been full of great people,” said Rob Penner, president and COO of Bison. “People who care about themselves and others, who lead by example, who are safe and professional and who each make a difference.”

Among the drivers  recognized were Lloyd Braun and Bryan McCaughan, who became the third and fourth drivers, respectively, to reach the 2.5 million safe miles milestone. Braun has been driving with Bison since 1991 while McCaughan joined in 1994.
