BOOTED OUT N.S. TRUCKER GETS $9,000
TRURO, N.S. — Elmsdale, N.S. truck driver Leon Thompson has been awarded $9,000 in lost wages after being expelled from the Truckers Association of Nova Scotia.
Thompson was kicked out in February 1999 after publicly criticizing the organization.
He was reinstated in January 2000. Thompson isn’t however finished with the truckers group, arguing in a newspaper report that his fight isn’t over yet.
