Brake blitz planned for Sept. 4
BETHESDA, Md. (Aug. 12, 2003) — Truck and bus enforcement officials will conduct a day-long brake-examination blitz at roadside inspection stations on Sept. 4, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance said yesterday.
The inspections are part of “Operation Air Brake,” an ongoing campaign sponsored by the CVSA and the Canadian Council of Motor Transport Administrators. They will take place in Canada and the United States over a 12-hour period.
The CVSA is an association of enforcement agencies.
