TRACADIE-SHEILA, N.B. — The Tracadie-Sheila bypass is closer to completion with the plans of constructing a $4.8-million bridge across the Little Tracadie River by September 2003.

Transportation Minister Margaret Ann Blaney and Education Minister and local MLA Elvy Robichaud announced the project yesterday.

The 340-metre-long bridge is to be constructed 1.7 kilometres upstream from the existing Route 11 bridge in the centre of Tracadie-Sheila. Paving of the bypass is expected to be completed after the bridge is finished in the fall of 2003.
