Bridge speeds back to normal

HALIFAX, N.S. — The speed limit on the MacKay Bridge has been restored to 70 km-h from the 50 km-h that drivers have recently been forced to maintain.

Sings warning bridge drivers of a 50 km-h speed limit are more than a week out of date.

Construction on the bridge ended Aug. 20, but the temporary speed signs are still up.

The Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission assures the right speed limit will be posted today.
