Burns named new Dana chairman

TOLEDO, Ohio, (April 21, 2004) — Dana Corp. has named Michael J. Burns the company’s eighth chairman in its 100-year history.

Burns, already the company’s president and CEO, will take on the additional role of chairman, succeeding Glen H. Hiner, who had served in the position since the death of

Burns was named president and CEO of Dana in February after 34 years with General Motors Corp., where he had most recently served as president of General Motors Europe, based in Zurich, Switzerland.

Dana Corporation is a leader in the design, engineering, and production of components and systems for automotive, commercial, and off-highway vehicles.
