Canadian telematics company growing

PICKERING, Ont. (Oct. 7, 2003) — AirIQ Inc. a supplier of Telematics technology to the commercial transport industry, announced that it surpassed 40,000 cumulative contracted subscribers from the rental vehicle, commercial transport, and heavy equipment commercial markets.

AirIQ enters into service contracts with its commercial fleet customers typically ranging from 36 to 60 months. The company’s subscriber base consists of large corporate fleets and smaller independent fleets, which are located in the U.S. and Canada, and travel throughout North America.

AirIQ operates as a wireless Internet applications service provider specializing in Telematics, offering fleets services including vehicle location, boundary notification, automated inventory, maintenance reminders, security alerts and remote vehicle disabling.
