CCX announces five-province expansion

TORONTO (May 8, 2000) — Con-Way Canada Express will expand into five more provinces as part of its overall plan to build a more comprehensive less-than-truckload service network throughout Canada.

Con-Way Canada Express, an operating unit of Con-Way Central Express (CCX), said it would have 27 service locations in Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.

The company will offer four-day delivery among its service area.

Con-Way has operated in Canada as Con-Way Central Express and provided service to Ontario, Quebec, and Manitoba since 1992. The division will be managed from new headquarters in Mississauga, Ont.
