Changing lanes: former CAA spokesperson joins Trucking Alliance

OTTAWA (Aug. 15, 2002) — The Canadian Trucking Alliance (CTA) has appointed Elly Meister to the position of vice-president of public affairs & communications.

Ms. Meister, who was most recently vice-president of marketing and communications for the Canadian Automobile Association’s national office, has been a member or served on the boards of directors and committees of numerous private and public sector organizations including the Transportation Table on Climate Change, the Transportation Association of Canada, the Coalition for Trade Efficient Borders, the Ottawa-Carleton Board of Trade, Children’s Hospital Foundation, American Marketing Association, and the United Way of Ottawa-Carleton. She also ran her own communications company and was a professor of marketing at Algonquin College before joining CAA.

Meister will assume her new role with CTA on September 3, 2002.
