Clarke CFO resigns over latest deals

TORONTO, (June 7, 2004) — Jim Lawn, executive vice-president and chief financial officer of Clarke Inc. is leaving the company as a result from the sale of subsidiary Concord Transportation late last year, and the pending sale of the Clarke Logistics division.

A press release issued by the company stated Lawn’s resignation is effective immediately.

Last week Clarke announced it’s selling its Logistics Services division — consisting of Clarke Transportation Services Inc., FocusCarriers, Inc., and Clarke Logistics
Canada — to PBB Global Logistics Income Fund.

In December last year the company sold its Concord Transportation subsidiary to ATS Andlauer Transportation Services of Toronto, in return for 30 per cent ownership in ATS.

Stephen Richards and Robert Mintzberg will be the acting vice-president, finance and the acting vice-president and controller, respectively, effective today, the company said.
