CN establishes intermodal chair at the Université de Montréal

MONTREAL (Nov. 20, 2002) — Canadian National, the country’s largest railway, has established an academic chair on intermodal transportation at the Université de Montréal.

Supported by a $1.2 million donation from CN, the chair will primarily devote itself to research on intermodal transportation, from the efficient transport of goods to government transportation policies.

In making the announcement, CN detailed a lengthy tradition of supporting post-secondary institutions, especially in the field of transportation, through funds for university chairs, scholarships, and post-graduate fellowships.
