ComCar founder Art Joosse dies of cancer
ANCASTER, Ont. (April 10, 2000) — Art Joosse, who represented independent truckers as president of the Com Car Owner-Operators Association, died Friday following a battle with liver cancer.
Visitation is today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, Ont. (905/632-3333). Funeral services are tomorrow at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Christian Reform Church, 61 Mohawk Road W., in Hamilton.
Joosse, 58, provided a voice for co-op members on a variety of government and industry councils, including the Canadian Trucking Human Resources Council and Ontario’s Target 97 committee.
