WINDSOR, Ont. — Con-Way Canada Express isn’t getting caught up in the doom and gloom surrounding the economy, and will instead open two new service centers over the coming months.

Montreal and Windsor, Ont. will be homes to new facilities, the first of which opened yesterday at 1295 Saint-Luc Boulevard in Montreal. The 8,700 sq. ft. facility will help the company provide earlier deliveries and later pickups in the South Shore area.

In Windsor, the new center will be 10,200 sq. ft., and will replace a smaller facility that the company has simply outgrown. It will be located at 698 Sprucewood Ave. and will open Mar. 4.

“Windsor is the busiest international gateway between the U.S. and Canada and our new facility there will be instrumental in improving international and local service,” says Rick Smith, Con-Way Canada general manager. “The St. Luc (Montreal) facility will increase service to the South Shore area and the metro Montreal market.”
