CTA schedules National Trucking Week 2001

OTTAWA (Dec. 18, 2000) — The Canadian Trucking Alliance, the Ottawa-based industry lobby group, has scheduled its annual National Trucking Week for Aug. 26 to Sept. 1, 2001.

Organized in conjunction with the CTA’s provincial affiliates, the event is designed to celebrate the contributions of the industry’s nearly 400,000 workers in Canada. Trucking companies are encouraged to develop their own celebrations.

The dates were chosen to harmonize the event with celebrations in the United States, the CTA said.
