Dana in long-term supply pact with PACCAR

TOLEDO, Ohio (June 4, 2001) — Dana Corp. announced a long-term agreement to supply steer axles, drive axles, brakes, driveshafts, and steering shafts as standard equipment on PACCAR Inc.’s Kenworth and Peterbilt medium and heavy trucks.

The deal “reflects the industry trend toward closer cooperation between OEMs and component suppliers to provide enhancements in improving vehicle performance,” said PACCAR senior vice-president Gary Moore. “The benefits to customers in providing an integrated drivetrain solution are key elements in this strategic alliance.”

Kenworth and Peterbilt vehicles feature a complete Roadranger drivetrain system as standard. Roadranger, a strategic alliance with Eaton Corp.’s truck components group, combines Dana and Eaton products as an integrated drivetrain.
