Day & Ross chief takes on Marine business

OTTAWA, (Sept. 18, 2003) — Transport Minister David Collenette introduced yesterday Day & Ross president Roger Flood, as the new president and CEO of Marine Atlantic Inc.

Marine Atlantic is a Crown corporation that provides a marine transportation link for passengers, cars and commercial vehicles across the Cabot Strait between Newfoundland and Labrador and mainland Canada.

“Mr. Flood’s experience in the transportation sector and expertise in the areas of engineering, finance, management and administration will be assets to Marine Atlantic,” said Collenette.

Flood currently serves as president of Newfoundland-based Day and Ross Ltd., one of Canada’s largest trucking companies, where he is responsible for personnel, administration, and the daily operations of the company.
