Delphi signs five-year battery deal with International

TROY, Mich. (Jan 3, 2001) — Delphi Automotive Systems Corp. yesterday announced a five-year deal to supply heavy-duty batteries to International Truck and Engine Corp.

Delphi’s Energy & Chassis unit will supply original equipment batteries under the International and Dynavolt brand names. The batteries will be made at Delphi’s Olathe, Kan., and Anaheim, Calif., plants.

Based in Chicago, International Truck and Engine makes heavy- and medium-duty trucks, school buses, and diesel engines.
