Delphi to develop engine electronics for Cat
TROY, Mich. (Oct. 18, 1999) — Delphi Automotive Systems Corp. said Tuesday it signed a five-year deal to provide engine electronics and hydraulic control modules to Caterpillar Inc. for the companyĆs light, medium, and heavy-duty engines.
Delphi’s Delco Electronics Systems unit will co-develop engine controllers with Caterpillar, with production to begin in mid-2001. Delco and Delphi’s Energy & Engine Management Systems unit will also provide Caterpillar with a new line of hydraulic control modules.
