MONTREAL, Que. — Dicom Transportation Group announced today that it has acquired Extra Express, an asset-light provider based in Los Angeles.

Dicom said that it will be integrating the services of Extra Express into its existing portfolio of expedited, regional parcel transportation, less-than-truckload, full-truckload, cross-border, and final mile network capabilities.

The company added that Dicom customers will have access to “final mile” delivery points and the strategically located distribution centres, across California, Colorado and Nevada.

“Extra Express provides Dicom with significant final mile density in California and across the Western United States,” said Scott Dobak, Dicom CEO. “Extra Express is an exceptionally well-run business, with a proven ability to service a wide range of industries. We look forward to offering their capabilities, which include state-of-the art tracking and communications technology to both new and existing customers.”
