Eaton names new plant manager of Nebraska plant

KEARNEY, Nebr. – Eaton has named Ed Doerr plant manager of its Kearney, Nebraska facility.

The facility Doerr is now in charge of produces engine valves for global vehicle manufacturers. Doerr will report directly to Kathy Grisdela, director of operations, Automotive North America. He will be in charge of developing and driving long-term strategies for the Kearney plant, including growth opportunities as well as strengthening safety and employee engagement.

“Ed has demonstrated strong leadership qualities throughout his career with Eaton that have helped improve the safety and efficiency of our operations,” said Grisdela. “His cross-functional experience, creative problem solving and communication skills will be a great asset to the Kearney team.”

Doerr has been with the Eaton team since 2003. Most recently, he was plant manager for the company’s aerospace facility in Euclid, Ohio.

The new appointment is effective as of April 15, 2015.
