FAST centre moved from Detroit to Windsor side of bridge

WINDSOR, Ont. (Oct. 19, 2004) — Officials from the Free and Secure Trade (FAST) program have notified the Ontario Trucking Association that the enrollment centre that was located at the U.S. Customs facility at the Ambassador Bridge has been closed and has now been moved to the Canada Customs offsite facility in Windsor, Ont.

The OTA reports that officials have indicated that having the enrollment centre located to the Canadian side of the bridge will make it more accessible to drivers who are working and those who wish to travel to the centre in their personal vehicles.

The Canada Border Services Agency offsite facility is located at 4285 Industrial Drive. Drivers can access the facility via the Intersection of Huron Church Road and Industrial Drive. The intersection is located 0.5 km north of the EC Row Expressway.
