Female professional drivers to get salute at Truck World

TORONTO, Ont. – At Canada’s national truck show – Truck World– this year will be the first ever salute and Canadian celebration of women behind the wheel.

Salutes to women in trucking have been happening in the US for a number of years, and 2016 marks the first ever for Canadian female drivers.

The event is being hosted by both the Women in Trucking Association and the Owner-Operator’s Business Association (OBAC) of Canada and is set to take place on Saturday, April 16 at 2 p.m. in room Aviation B at the International Centre in Mississauga, Ont.

Event organizers say attendees of the salute can enjoy refreshments, door prizes, and goodie bags.

Drivers can pick up their salute registration forms at the the WIT booth (#5642) or the OBAC booth (#2480) at Truck World.
