ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Con-Way Central Express (CCX) has opened one new facility and will open another at the end of the month in time for the heavy shipping season.

On Monday, a facility located on an 18.5-acre site in Woodland, Pa. opened serving as a major relay point between Midwest and Northeast markets. The new 58-door, 26,000 square-foot freight assembly center will allow for the reduction of transit times from two-days to one-day in 78 freight delivery lanes to and from selected points in New York, New Jersey and Ohio.

Scheduled to open Oct. 29 is a 62-door Cranston, R.I. facility. The new location will replace an existing terminal in Seekonk, Mass.
