RICHMOND, Va. — Taylor Made Environmental has inked a deal to supply Paccar its Tundra refrigerators to be installed as original equipment in sleeper compartments on new Kenworth and Peterbilt trucks.

Tundra refrigerators will also be sold in the aftermarket through the Paccar parts program. The selection of the Tundra brand as the preferred supplier of mobile refrigerators followed extensive testing and evaluation procedures to ensure that they meet Paccar’s standards.

An initial order has been placed for an undisclosed quantity of 1.8- and 2.2-cubic-foot Tundra models built to the Paccar spec. The Tundra brand includes a wide selection of portable top-loading and built-in front-loading refrigerators, freezers and combination units in capacities ranging from 0.8 to 8.5 cubic feet in size. The units are built to provide reliable operation under the most demanding environmental conditions.

The steel exterior has a durable, protective coating and the interior is high-impact polystyrene, providing low maintenance and easy cleaning. Built-in protections include a high-temperature cutout at 125 F, and a low-voltage cutout to safeguard the vehicle’s batteries.
