Gaetz now heads Vitran
MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Vitran Corporation has named Rick Gaetz, 44, president and chief executive officer of the company effective May 2.
Gaetz, currently president and chief operating officer of Vitran’s Distribution Systems, succeeds Richard McGraw who has held the post since he co-founded the business in 1983.
McGraw will become non-executive chairman of the board, replacing Anthony Griffiths, also a co-founder, who remains on Vitran’s Board.
Gaetz is on the Ontario Trucking Association’s (OTA) executive committee, as well as the OTA and Canadian Trucking Alliance’s board of directors.
Vitran is a North American group of transportation companies offering less-than-truckload, logistics, truckload, intermodal and truck brokerage services.
