AKRON, Ohio — The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company has named Dan Martin to the position of general manager, commercial tire sales for its western region.

Reporting to Ted Fick, the company’s vice-president of Commercial Tire Systems, Martin is responsible for dealer sales, development and fleet sales, and he oversees the five commercial sales region managers in the company’s western division.

Martin, 52, joins Goodyear with 23 years of truck industry experience at Paccar, where he held numerous positions including distribution center manager and national sales manager for the parts division, and director of U.S. sales for the Kenworth Truck Company.

“Dan brings fresh insights to our Commercial Tire Systems team, thanks to his strong background in the truck industry,” says Fick. “He has experience calling on many of these same accounts, and has excellent relationships throughout the industry.”
