Great Dane pres pinned after 40 years
SAVANNAH, Ga. (May 7, 2003) — Kit Hammond, president of Great Dane Trailers, recently celebrated his 40th anniversary with the company.
Kit received a commemorative 40-year service award pin from his father, Chris Hammond, Jr., former chairman of Great Dane and a 50-year service award pin recipient.
“Our combined years of service equals his age — 90 years,” said the younger Hammond, who began his career in 1963 as an engineer, moving up the ranks until being named president in 1997. “Together we have spent the entire span of his life serving Great Dane.”
