ICBC TO ISSUE WEIGH SCALE SLIPS

VANCOUVER, B.C. — Truckers who feel that B.C. weigh scales are inconsistent and inaccurate now have access to scale slips, due to a recent Insurance Corp. of British Columbia (ICBC) policy change.

ICBC will provide the weigh scale slips to truckers upon request, in an attempt to address trucker concerns that the scales are inconsistent.

The B.C. Trucking Association says the scales are recalibrated at least once a year, and weights may be affected by factors such as how the truck is driven onto the pads.
