MISSISSAUGA, Ont.– On October 15, 2014, the Surface Transportation Summit will present shippers, carriers and industry suppliers with thoughtful views and perspectives on the state of surface freight transportation in North America: What are we currently seeing? And what should you expect in 2015?

The Summit, produced by Transportation Media’s Truck News/Truck West, Fleet Executive and Canadian Shipper, and by Dan Goodwill & Associates, will commence with an overview and discussion of the salient economic indicators that will impact the economies of North America. It will then provide perspectives from some leading CEOs in various segments of the Canadian transportation industry.

Keynote addresses and panel discussions will present attendees with thought-provoking ideas and observations on subjects ranging from the Same Day Shipping to Shipper-Collaboration to Freight Rate Pricing.

In the afternoon, the Summit will break out into several concurrent tracks, looking at topics including Alternate Fuels, Technology in Transportation, Transportation Industry Regulations and Warehousing and Logistics. For the first time, the Summit will have one room set aside exclusively for shipper-carrier and vendor-carrier networking.

As the Summit is designed to be of practical use to both shippers and carriers alike, this one-day event is sure to present delegates with the ideal business networking opportunity.
