Industry loses a pioneer

COQUITLAM, B.C. — Manitoba Trucking Association (MTA) past-president Torben “Tom” Jensen died here on Dec. 23, 2001, at the age of 70.

Jensen was president of the MTA in 1981 and ’82. Subsequent to his career in the trucking industry, Tom sat as an Appeal Commissioner with the Manitoba Workers’ Compensation Appeal Commission.

A memorial service will be held in Winnipeg on Feb. 16 at 3:00 p.m. at St. Marks Lutheran Church. Truck West and Truck News would like to join with the MTA in sending our sympathy to the Jensen family.
