International, CAW agreement includes new truck program

CHATHAM, Ont. (June 25, 2004) — The Canadian Auto Workers union locals 127 and 35 have reached a tentative agreement covering the Chatham, Ont. International Truck and Engine plant that extends the term of the current contract and will solidify a new truck program at the facility starting in January, 2007.

CAW Local 127 represents 650 production and maintenance workers at the plant. CAW Local 35 represents approximately 70 office workers. They will vote on the tentative agreement this weekend.
