International names new truck group president

Warrenville, Ill., (Sept. 3, 2003) — International Truck and Engine has named Dee Kapur president of the truck group.

Kapur, 48, will lead the company’s truck and school bus business, including engineering and product development, manufacturing, vehicle center teams and sales and support. He also was named a member of the company’s executive council, which has responsibility for the overall operating results and strategic direction of the company.

Kapur spent nearly 27 years with Ford Motor Co. He was executive director of Ford Outfitters for Ford’s North American truck operations and was responsible for all Ford SUVs. He led the launch of the all new Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator. In addition to having responsibilities for all SUVs, he ran Ford’s full size pick-up business for four years, developing numerous products, including the F150 Super Crew, the F150 Harley-Davidson and the just introduced all-new F150.
