Intra plugs in online calculator

TUKWILA, Wash. — In an effort to overcome the pragmatic nature of truck operators, Intra Technologies plans to show how its low-voltage disconnect (LVDs) products will impact the balance sheet.

According to Will Watson, vice-president of sales, for Intra Technologies, it doesn’t make sense to purchase an aftermarket product if that investment will not result in a quantifiable operational advantage.

“Whether you are a 1,000-truck fleet or a hard-working owner/operator on a tight budget, we feel very strongly that for the vast majority of truck operators, our LVD’s can — and will — increase profitability and reduce downtime.”

A new online calculator can be accessed from Intra’s Web site (www.intra-tech.com). The calculator instructs truck operators to enter their own numbers and averages to determine total profit potential that can be achieved with Intra’s aftermarket LVD’s.

Intra Technologies develops DC power management products based on its proprietary semiconductor technologies which allow better, more efficient management of DC current flow. The Intra Switch — the patented core of the company’s technology — allows Intra’s products to handle an extremely high amount of current with very low heat generation.
