Kenworth receives J.D. Power award

KIRKLAND, Wash., (Aug. 18, 2003) — Kenworth Truck has been awarded the prestigious J.D. Power and Associates 2003 Heavy-Duty Truck Customer Satisfaction award, in the Pickup and Delivery segment, for Class 8 trucks.

“This is a tremendous honor for Kenworth, our dealers, and our T800, T600 and W900 models that are used in this market,” Bob Christensen, Kenworth general manager and PACCAR vice-president, said in a press release.

Customers gave Kenworth products top ratings over competitors’ products in major award categories including quality, exterior, interior, engine, and ride/handling/braking.

The J.D. Power and Associates study was based on interviews with 2,675 primary maintainers of 2001 model year vehicles. The study analyzes customer satisfaction in key areas such as vehicle performance, product quality, interior and exterior design, dealer parts and service support, and
